T-shirt blanket

Sorry no post for so long, but I've been really busy, doing this and that, plus homework(ugh). And I couldn't get a picture of my blanket because it wasn't done, and I left it at the studio, and and... yeah you get the point. But it's done now, and I LOVE it. I got the idea and the dimensions from "Generation T" by Megan Nicolay. I constructed the front by myself, but got help on making the back from Hilda. It's all tied down now, and ready for daily use (which, beleive me, it WILL be used daily.). Yay! I love the feeling of finishing a big project. Now i have to figure out a new project for this thursday. But until then, Thanks for reading!

Craft: Magazine

Bought my first issue of Craft:!!! It is so exiting because it is virtually ALL content and no ads. Currently looking at a very cute voodoo doll pincushion project. She even comes complete with a needle sharpener! Hooray!
I'm thinking of a knitting project to be my next undertaking. Perhaps arm warmers... or a hat! So many possibilities. I finished both my barbie and my extra-large T-shirt blanket today, however I have no pictures of them yet. I dont have pictures of barbie because I can't post pics of her until after the contest. And I don't have pictures of the blanket simply because I left it at the studio. Oops. Pics tomorrow though!

Stuffed Veggies!!!

Hooray! Stuffed vegetables! I made these because I was inspired by the Stuffie awards to make a plushie, so I made one, and another, and another! Now I have a really cute set of veggies to enter into their stuffed cuizine category! YAY! Go check out their pictures on flickr. I wrote a little blurb about each of them on there. :D In other news, I am entering a contest with my sponsoring studio, Fibre Arts. The contest is one where you alter a barbie to put fourth a message. More news later!

The Softie Awards

While looking for a group for plushies on Flickr I stumbled upon The Softie Awards. I was intrigued, and enterd my plushie, Squiddy. Perhaps he will win somthing, but, there is some stiff competition! There are some really cute plushies out there! One that really caught my eye was a cute little mermaid... I hope to make some more entries by the deadline, March 9th. Maybe I'll make a toaster cozy... Hehehe! Just kidding. But I will make somthing else. Perhaps it will be an entry into the Best Softie Cuisine category! A stuffed asparagus! Hooray!

My First Blog Post

This is my first post and, if you hadn't noticed by the title, this is a crafting blog.
My hobby is crafting. I make stuff. Out of fabric, mostly, but I do make other things. One thing I am really enjoying right now is embroidery and sewing. I also enjoy loom weaving, refashioning, beading, knitting, and paper crafts. recently, I was chosen by a local studio, Fibre Arts Design Studio, to participate in their portfolio program. so now I make stuff even more than usual. At fibre arts, I take classes, and I learn many new techniques. I will post any new projects I am doing, and I will also provide a link to my Flickr photo stream.
